Comprehensive Event Medical Coverage
Every event carries inherent medical risk — from a minor fall to a sudden cardiac arrest in the crowd. Medi Edge provides fully planned, appropriately staffed, and operationally ready medical coverage aligned with SANS 10366:2012 (Health and Safety at Events) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
Our event medical teams include HPCSA-registered practitioners at BLS, ILS, and ALS level — with fully equipped response vehicles, AED stations, and command infrastructure for large-scale events.
We work with event organisers, safety officers, and venue management to produce a Medical Emergency Plan (MEP) accepted by municipal event permit offices and Department of Health provincial EMS coordinators.
Regulatory Framework
- • SANS 10366:2012 — Safety at Public Events
- • OHSA 85 of 1993 — Occupational Health and Safety Act
- • Disaster Management Act 57 of 2002
- • HPCSA Registration — all practitioners registered
- • DoH EMS Regulations — compliant vehicle and crew standards
- • Municipal bylaws — MEP accepted for event permits

Rapid Response Ambulance
One or more DoH-registered ALS or ILS ambulances staged at the venue throughout the event, ready for immediate deployment and seamless handover to provincial EMS or receiving hospitals.
Post-Event Report
Full incident report including patient contact statistics, interventions performed, and recommendations for future events — suitable for insurance submission, SHEQ compliance files, and municipal event permit renewals.
